Front garden finally looks good

It’s been a long time since we dug up the old turf in the front garden – about 2 years I think. It was 2003 when we had the large pine tree taken out! But, it’s finally looking good, since we turfed it yesterday. Just in case the turf suffers some catastrophe, I thought I’d take a photo whilst it was green :-
It’s a little sterile at the moment as there’s no shrubs etc.. But, the area seems so much larger than when we got the as it was covered in overgrown shrubs and trees. I dug out an old photo for comparison :-
