Since my boarding has been curtailed, I thought I’d try some of the non skiing activities, one of which is raquetting – or snowshoeing. I did think it might be a gentle stroll through the snow with an elderly group. In fact it was pretty strenuous, and the couple of less fit members of the group had to cut quite large sections as they simply weren’t up to it. At times we were knee deep in powder snow. Good fun as well, as you can get up and down completely improbable inclines.
